we are trying to get them to link so that we may play on starcraft.. I am on a XP machine and it is W98 the other is also 98 I can see them fine but the problem is that the first win 98 machine will not allow me to change it to TCP/IP it works fine on IPX... but I need it on TCP.. how do I make it change?

I thought you needed IPX to run Starcraft on a LAN. At least thats what I remember...
Its been a while. Are you sure you need TCP/IP to run Starcraft?

Cross post?

If I am not getting a response from the people in networking then I am going to go to a place that has more people therefore offering a higher chance of return!

No, the latest patch made Starcraft to be playable thru TCP/IP.

Pertaining to the thread question, why don't you just remove IPX completely? Just have TCP/IP as the only network protocol. As far as I know, you don't need IPX for anything else.
