My sons computer will post ok. The XP slash screen will come up. Then instead off loading starup programs it comes up with a blue error screen...Stop : c000021a{fatel system error} The session manager in initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000034(0x0000000 0x0000000) System has shutdown. Then it will reboot and go thru the same loop.
At first I thought it was a bad power supply but it only happens at the same spot and in bios the 12 and 5 rails are normal.
I have access to the bios and safe mode options but all safe mode options result in same as above.
I tried installing Xp CD to repair or reinsall operating system but it fails to run. Tried in CDRW and DVD rom and dosent start. During post HD, CDRW and DVD rom all show up.
Ran a AVG antivirus from floppies and it came back clean.
Tried to use ms dos prompts to access c drive but I get back bad file name.
Thinking reg is screwed up but not sure how to fix it.
Also wondering if Hd was bad I woudnt get Xp slash screen? Im stumped if this is software related which I would do I clean install or Hardware problem.
Thought cables might be bad but again I get Xp spash screen and all drive show up at post. Yet I can only seem to access floppy drive.
