hi,

I got this problem while upgrading to winME. I used win98SE then i pop in the upgrade cd.. it went smoothly until it hit the 10 min left "installing plug and play devices" .. i got to this part and then the computer hang on me for a long time then the instruction said reboot if it doesn't responds for a long time. So then i reboot them. It got this same problem again so i formated and then installed the winME from fresh. The problem still occurs at the 10 min mark. So i said forget about winME.. it's suck.. hahaha.. maybe my system got SCSI hard drive that's why it doesn't support or it got conflict with my plug and play devices.. any idea?? please help.. thanks..

Does your system hang on boot now? If so, you may as well start from scratch, I had that same problem with RC3 and it blew my hard drive away along with all data. I guess you should have waited until it was released, huh?

Ya...I had the same thing happen...it took mine about 5-7 minutes to get past that part. Just leave it sit there for a few minutes to see what happens...should work
