I am attempting to do a clean install of Windows XP Professional on a newly built system. I don't have the original XP cd, so I'm using a burned copy that consists of a .bin file and a .cue file. The cd was burned with nero as a boot cd. Here are the other specs on my computer. All the hardware seems to be functioning fine. Here is a brief spec list:

Opteron 165
DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D
OCZ Gold PC4000 2GB
eVGA 7800 GT
WD Raptor 150GB
NEC ND-3550A DVD Writer
Antec P180 Case
Antec TruePower 2.0 550W

When I boot the computer, it boots from cd, and immediately starts Caldera DR-DOS. After some hardware checks, it gives me a DOS prompt for A:\. A dir command lists the following files:

command
drdos
oak
nr
wwbmu
readme
dconfig
autodos7

I'm horrible in DOS, but I did try to change directories, and it doesn't seem like it's recognizing any other drives, so I assume that A:\ is the CD-ROM. These files are not any of the files that I burned to the cd (I only burned the .bin and the .cue files).

I'm starting to feel like I need to get another Windows XP cd for this to work, but I was wondering if anyone had any other advice as to what I may try. Thanks in advance!

the .cue and .bin file contain all the directory and file information of an XP CD, but you need to burn them in a specific way - usually burn image or something like that. Where did you get the .bin and .cue files from?
