Hey guys, I am having a problem with my windows XP installation, I am using Windows XP Professional and have never had a problem with it before, I just purchased a system on here that had Windows ME on it and it was working fine, decided to put XP on it and now every time it gets to the saving configurations screen it freezes up and I have to restart, It installs WIndows 98 without any problem, I am only having this problem with XP, anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? I really want to put XP on it as I have forgotten just about everything about 98. Ahe help would be appreciated, thanks.

Make sure you have ACPI turned on in BIOS. Also, during installation when you get a screen which asks where to install windows, erase Win98 partition, then create NTFS partition in its place. NTFS is better than FAT32.
