I'm having an issue installing my new Raptor HDD (OEM). Even though my BIOS recognizes the drive and I can choose the boot order of it etc.. XP doesn't seem to recognize the drive. When I click my computer it just shows my C drive that windows is obviously running off of.
Also when I go to My Computer > Right Click a drive > Click Properties > Hardware Tab
where it shows "All Disk Drives: " the Raptor is actually listed there. But, again, I can't access it. From top to bottom the order is Raptor, EIDE Drive, Floppy, CD-RW
Raptor properties are:
Manufacturer: (Standard disk drives)
Location: Location 0 (Primary ATA Channel)
Device Status: This device is working properly.
Primary HDD (EIDE) properties:
Manufacturer: (Standard disk drives)
Location: Location 0 (0)
Device Status: This device is working properly.
This drive is OEM so could this be a driver issue?
My System:
Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus
Core 2 E6600
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB
GeForce 8800GTS 640MB
Prim. HDD: 80Gig EIDE
Sec. HDD: 74Gig Raptor
600W PSU
XP Home Edition
