Everything installed ok but then I went to setup for TV (Guide Plus), everything went ok untill it asked for the type of audio connection between the video and sound card. I just clicked on the drop down menue to see what the options were and, nothing, I had to restart, the second time it locked up earlier (while it was doing a chanel search to see what chanels I got). The last time I tried it locked up as soon as I opened guide plus. I don't know whats going on! I had Windows WebTV working but then that to froze after a while, I was still getting audio but the most of the screen was just grey.

Please help??

Similar problem here :( I'm running Win98SE (clean install), via4in1 drivers, and Radeon build 3065. The darn TV software doesn't work "." it crashes, locks up, or puts my monitor into sleep mode before I even complete the configuration wizard (auto scan channels and select sound source).

Also having invalid Page Faults with the DVD software :(

So, has anyone gotten this software to function on ANY hardware configuration?

Yep, firstly you need to be in 640x480 or 800x60, maybe 1024x768 not entirely sure if that last one will work. Download the new drivers at www.rageunderground.com . I was getting the same problems till i turned the 1600x1200 res down and nabbed the new drivers. Now there are no problems.

I can't believe all this and I all it took was changing the resolution. I just did what Shaftatplanetquake said by reducing the resolution, but I couldn't find the drivers he was talking about on www.rageunderground (Is the AIW Radeon driver on this page?). I did find the 7020 driver though that maddmax found on www.rage3d.com so I used that one. I was using the 3065 which was supposidly the latest driver and also the one that comes on the CD so what exactly is this 7020? I havn't done a thourough test yet but at least the tuner is working.

Thanks

EDIT: I guess I spoke to soon cuz it just locked up. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Is mobo bios setup per ati's documentation referenced above? Did you go into safe mode and delete all monitors and display adapters before attemting to reinstall drivers? Have you renamed all instances of atigart.exe and taken atipolab out of startup menu with msconfig? That is a via chipset isn't it? Did you install the viagart.exe agp driver in standard not turbo mode? The article at rage3d cleared up a lot of questions on these issues, as well as the sequence in which they should be done. I assume the radeon is not sharing an irq and that directx7.0a is installed. Best of luck to you! print this

Well it's working but still locks up every now and then. I'm using the special purpose 7020 driver. Does this effect the TV out? It will not let me enable the TV in the AIW Radeon Properties Displays tab. It says that its not connected so it won't even let me click it. It is connected and the VCR it is connected to is ON. I shut down and restarted and it didn't detect it like it says it should. I need some help here.

Also since I followed the directions from the link above to the tuner to work, the channel surf button (on the TV control) to get a veiw of all the chanels is greyed out. (So you can't click on it)

Thanks

The Grinch claims a proper install of the special purpose drivers 3063 fixed his TV issues. You might give them a try. Check atitech.com

Man I just lost my response... here goes again. What is a beta driver exacly? What is the difference between 3063 special purpose driver from atitech and the 7020 special purpose from rage3d.com. The 3063 must be brand new because when I looked before all I found was the 3065 that came with on the ati cd and the 7020 which I'm using now. Do I have to go thu that whole ati document again to install the 3063 driver?

thanks,

A beta driver is one that is not yet certified and/or supported by ati tech support. I don't know the exact differences between the 3063's and the 7020's. ATI releases these special purpose drivers to deal with specific issues. Start the reinstallation at the point where it says go into safe mode(device manager) and delete all display adapters and monitors.

Thanks for the help so far, The TV tuner seems to be working alright but I have a few other issures still. I'm a student and been dealing with finals so I havn't had any time to work on it. I am going to reformat and start from scratch after finals are done this week. I have so many problems right now from corupt files I figured that would be the best way. Hopfully you won't have to hear back from me on this thread.
