I'm having some problems trying to install my drivers for my Leadtek 6800GT. I previously had a Leadtek Ti4600, I removed the old drivers first and then installed the new video card. I put the new driver CD in, it copies the files then asks me to reboot the system. When I reboot the computer tells me that it has discovered new hardware and tries to reinstall the drivers again but says it is unsuccessful. I removed the newer drivers and tried again but it says installation unsuccessful because the data is invalid. I have Windows XP SP2. Any ideas on what is wrong?

Download drivercleaner, run drivercleaner in safemode, download current drivers from nvidia.

Don't use drivers from CD.

I agree with df96817, you must be sure the old drivers are completely cleaned out, then reinstall the latest drivers in safe mode.
