Problem installing AVerMedia DVD EZMaker PCI card

Win xp Pro, IWILL KK266-R motherboard, Atlon 1.4G processor. "Found Hardware" wizard finds card tries to install drivers (automatically find from CD per installation manual), then errors out with the message "AVerDVD EZMaker WDM Video capture, An error occured during installation of the device, Access is denied". AVerMedia tech support was of no help, stating the problem is not with their card or software. No relevant info on google either. Tried changing PCI slots, using Admin account, etc., Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Bump.

Please folks, anybody? Have spent countless hours on this. It shows up as "Multimedia Controller" under device manager with yellow "!" mark before it. Drivers do not install and each bootup of system has to go through this "Found new hardware" wizard, until I disabled device in device manager.

I feel for you but unfortunately I have no easy answer. I finally gave up on trying to get my Aver card installed and tech support was NO help to me either.
I ended up junking it and buying a Win Fast card off the FS/T forum.
