Hi,
I upgraded from XP to Vista Ultimate x64 and I'm trying to install Photoshop CS3, but right after I choose the installation folder and click ok, this message pops up asking me to insert Photoshop CS3. Well, doh it's already inserted. Does anyone know what's wrong? I've googled around and seems like many people are having problems with this, with no solution. Also most of the problems are with trial versions while mine is a full retail CD.

Any solutions?

Thanks.

I would suggest that you uninstall anything related to CS3 especially if you had
a trial version on there. Then run Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, then empty
all the Temp files for your user id. Reboot and try reinstalling the app again.
Since you are in Vista it need to be Run As Administrator with full rights or
UACC will stop you from installing properly.

You can also try copying the entire cd to a folder on the hard drive
and then running Setup.exe from there. See if that works.

Thanks. For some strange reason, copying the entire CD into my HDD and installing it from there works...go figure...
