Problem installing a fax modem

I just bought a new fax modem (v.92) and tried to install it. but as windows read the driver and is about to install it, an error message says : unable to install the modem. Before that, I tried with an older model I had (that worked fine on the other older computer) but the same problem arrised. Windows is detecting the device.

Try a different PCI slot perhaps? More specs on the hardware sometimes helps us too. Might want to look in the Event Viewer for clues if you're on Win2000 or WinXP.
