problem in ESS sound card

dear all
i have an ESS Solo-1 5.12.3047 sound card
i downloaded the driver from the mother copmany site.
during setup everything ran just fine.
i hook up the speakers, maximize the sound volume,try something to play
and..
nothing no sound
knowing that i did try another speakers and still no sound
what could be the problem?

I'd love to give you some technical advice, but I can't, so I offer this, ditch ESS. They have all but abandoned the PC sound market and driver development. Spend $20 and get yourself an entry level card from philips or Hercules.
