It's on a PIII 700E that hits 1008 1.85v..I have it comfortably at 950+ but my ram slot is blocked on my BF6...and I need that slot..

Question..what cooler can cool as good or near as good as the PEP66 that doesnt block a ram slot?

Any information will be appreciated..

Thanks,

most of the good coolers are pretty big, plus the alpha pep66 was specifically designed for slot-based boards so as to minimize no. of ram slots blocked... most of the good coolers like the fop32/fop38 and taisols have pretty big heatsinks and once u put a 60mm fan on top of the heatsink, they'll block off a couple of ram slots too

There's always water cooling, or a new socket style board, or maybe the sink/shroud could be notched with a dremel if it doesn't extend far over the dimm slot. Or sell off the smaller sticks of RAM and use 256meg sticks in the available slots...Hard to imagine needing more than 512megs...
