I have just installed a GA-K8N-Pro SLI MB. When I boot and go into BIOS setup, the drives are not recognized. So I try recognizing them manually, and there they are (including CD ROM). So I quit setup and save the settings. Boot again. Go back into setup. No hard drives or CD ROM!
This may not be a problem specific to this MB. If anyone has a suggestion, please tell me. I am getting ready to update the BIOS and drivers. But I can't do that until I can get the CD ROM to be permanently recognized.
I am using Maxtor HDs and a Plextor DVD ROM.
