Problem getting custom resolution with ATI

I put a radeon9000 in my machine during lunch today and installed rage3d tweak program to get my needed 1400x1050 resolution that i had been running with my ge force card that i removed. My first experience was that when i just installed the latest ati driver, and set my desktop to 1280x960, the monitor still looked like it was at 60hz even after setting it on 85. Ive never seen my mitsubishi 22" look so bad at 85hz. But anyway, after installing the rage3d program, I selected 1400x1050 as a resolution, rebooted and got it. But it only has the choice of 60hz when you go to advanced properties, and monitor settings?????? If i cant get 1400x1050 at 85Hz, this thing is useless. Any other (or better) ways of getting a custom resolution with an ATI? Like i said, i did this real quick during lunch, and i havent spent much time messing with it.

Ya might try PowerStrip. I'm not sure how well it will work because I haven't ever used it but I know it is in there somewhere.

I hope this helps.

Download it HERE.

powerstrip worked, but i just gave the card away to a friend (for what i paid for it). i dont like running add on software, if the driver doesnt support it, i dont want it. I went back to my trusty GF3 with a older driver that has 1400x1050 as a native res.
