Problem getting comp to boot...

...I just finished my new comp and everytime I shutdown and press the power button, I get my computer to start, but no video or post beep. When I press restart, it boots just fine.

I know it's not major, but it sure is irking.

Here's my config, I'm running Win2k Pro.

- Shuttle AK11 KT133a
- 512MB Kingston PC133
- AMD Athlon 1.2GHz (not overclocked)
- SVC 80mm hs/f with ASG2
- Maxtor 30GB (primary master)
- Maxtor 40GB (primary slave)
- Lite-On 16x DVD (secondary master)
- Lite-On 24x10x40x CD-RW (secondary slave)
- ATi Radeon 32MB DDR
- Hercules FortissmoII soundcard
- Linksys 10/100 nic
- Enermax 330-watt psu
- Antec SX1030
- (2) Enermax "whisper" case fans

That's my system. I really would love to get this problem fixed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! 😀

I did before. This board traveled over from my last build (2 weeks ago). It was working fine the other day. 🙁

Damn this Enermax PSU!!!

It was working fine with a generic Enhance PSU too. 🙁

You know the exact same thing happened to me...exact. It was with my IWill KK266 and people here were saying it was capacitors and voltage regulators, etc... Eventually I tore down and rebuilt the system and never had the problem again.

Is the power switch and reset switch on the motherboard swapped?
