P4 2.4C
IC7-G running 1.3 BIOS(new)
Seagate SATA(new)
Cyberdrive CD-rw(old)
Maxtor Ata133(old)
Installed Seagate on SATA1
I cannot get my cd-rw to be recognized on any IDE channel if HD is installed.
I cannot get the Maxtor to be recognized with the SATA converter. Only on the regular IDE channel.
If I disconnect the SATA and the Maxtor then the CD shows up, however it wont actually run any CD that I put in it.(HD set up disk or WinXP disk).
I tried the cd on IDE 1 & 2 as both Master and slave.
Both the Maxtor and the cd are running on their own cable.
Also the 2 IDE devices seem to be sometimes running against their setup....ie the maxtor shows up as slave if its in the master position.
Also twice when rebooting, I got a notice saying that the speed of my CPU had changed. Had to go in BIOS and set it manually.
CD was working fine in another system minutes before installation.
I was able to run from a DOS floppy disk.
Any suggestions?
