Problem Formatting Floppies?

I've noticed since upgrading to WinME that when I try to format a diskette I am getting a lot of errors trying to format them. I also upgraded the Mobo to a CUSL2. I'm not sure if they are related but I didn't have this problem on a VIA based Mobo or with Win98se. I do have another floppy to try but was hoping someone new of a fix for this?

I do not think it is a WinME problem. I format alot of floppy in WinMe
Can you read floppy disk?

I just tried a diskette that cacks out on this system about halfway through the file transfer on my Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop and it works fine. I have another floppy drive and will give it a try and see what happens. Thanks.
