First, I was trying to use HP's Disaster Recovery software. It wants to create a Windows startup disk. Everytime it waould start to create the disk, my system would hang.

Then I tried to create a disk on my own, and it would hang at the same spot.

Ok, then I tried a quick format and everything went fine. When I tied to do a full format, yep you guessed it, my system would hang, everytime, at the same spot.

Does anybody know what the !#$? is going on? I'm stumped. This happened before I completely reloaded Win98SE and right after. My system seems to be working fine otherwise.

Check my sig for my specs. TIA

well, this won't fix your problem, but at least it will help you format your disk:

goto the MS-DOS Prompt, and do a format from there. to do it, type:

format a:

if you want to copy system files onto it, type this:

format a: /S

hope that helps you out! :)
