Anyone know why AA or AF wouldn't be working? I have seen the issue before and its fixed by making sure the game is in 32bit. I believe I need to edit the shortcut tab with something like "-32btt". Any ideas?

would AA and AF on counterstike make it look any better? Well oviously a bit, but i wouldn't loost too much sleep over it.

Umm.... yeah..... uhhh..... yeah....... ok. So basically you are saying, go ahead have a top of the line system with more than enough power to run CS at EVERYTHING maxed out which makes a huge difference in visual appearance, but don't bother, just run the game like you would on a 3year old laptop? No I perfer to see CS maxed out, which is makes a huge difference, my 9700pro I would run maxed out as well at 100fps constant. Now I wouldn't even sit and play the game if the settings were off like after I ran a benchmark. Thanks for the response but, I was asking if you knew how to fix this issue not to try to change my goal of fixing this issue with a "what the hell, why bother".

So like this:

"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -32bpp

??? That way didn't work. Its weird even Vsync isn't working, jaggies galour.

no, the -32bpp goes at the end of hl.exe and was something that needed to be done before we had steam. with steam you just pick 32bit in the video options. however, that isn't the problem anyway as the 32bit thing was just for getting radeons to run with aa in cs as they need 32bit to do aa, af works either way and it shouldn't matter at all on a nvidia card.

maybe there is just somethign borked in your drivers in general, have you tried any other opengl games?

No, the only other OpenGL game I have is COD. I will try that. Good info, glad someone knows whats going on, somewhat. I will install it and test in the next couple of hours, please any tips still would be great.

Make sure your driver global settings are not using application preference and are instead forcing their own values. Also check if there's a driver profile for CS in case it's causing the issue.

Yeah I just figured that out. I reinstalled the drivers and for some reason I saw the global driver settings, and I realized right then that all it was , was that. I have the global to off everything. I did create a Steam.exe account and enabled everything to the highest but it still didn't work. But now with the global set to 8x/16x its working. Bone head, thanks for the help fellas. I am hitting 12k on 3dmark2003. 66k on Aquamark.
