Problem encountered replacing Radeon DDR heatsink

I was trying to replace the heatsink on my Radeon. After I removed the heatsink, I noticed that the new heatsink (a blorb) would not lie flush on the GPU. I can actually see light between the heatsink and the GPU. It seems that my Radeon GPU's surface is kind of curved??!! Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should do about this?

Is it OK to use Arctic Silver between the heatsink and the GPU. or is the gap too big and there will be risk of leakage?

It's not the Radeon GPU that's curved...it's piece of crap blue orb...

I have gone through several of those two piece craptastic heatsinks and every single one was warped...
