PROBLEM - Diamond Viper V550 with Detnator 3 drivers goes spako

I have a Diamond Viper V550 on an

Abit KT7
Duron 700
64Mb RAM
Windows 98 1st edition
DirectX 7

i have loaded the latest Detenator driver and then restarted windows, after the splash screen the screen goes blank and a curser iat the top left hand corner flashes???

Anyone know whats wrong ?

Is it version 6.31?? If so, try 6.47 or 6.50....

For the origional TNT, use the 3.68 drivers. Boot into safe mode (by pressing F5 while bios screen is going thru memory count) Then: My Computer, Properties , Device Manager, Display Devices, and check to see how many devices you show (should only be one), delete all of the disply adaptors if you show more than one, and let windows find the card on re-boot. Load your TNT drivers when windows searches for drivers and asks for the location of the card drivers. You might not have the card securely in place, so check that as well,(re-rack it).

I don't know about the TNT, but the best drivers for the TNT2 were the Detonator 2's. I think they were 5.22, but I had the most success with the 5.13's.

TechyJono, Try Reactor critical. I just cheked, and the 3.68's are'nt there. So go with the 3.72
