I had a XP-90C on it for a few weeks. Its a relatively new build, 1-2 months. It was a temporary heatsink as it was going to be put on my own build. I replaced it with the stock AMD heatsink with the copper bottom.

The temperature rose a bit, up to 46C on low load but it's been hot so I thought no big deal. And then it suddenly turned off. I was confused since it was working the whole day and the temperature wasn't that high. I turned it on again and it died within a minute, tried it a few more times. I decided to put the XP-90 that it was suppose to be on. It worked ok in the BIOs, 40C CPU temperature but after I restart, it turns on but doesn't post.

No nothing. The CPU heatsink doesn't seem that hot or barely warm at all. I have the Corsair XLPRO and usually, at least the green lights turned on when you turn on the computer. Nothing.

Any suggestions? Need to fix it fast.

Yea...I thought so too but it seems I tried a cheaper Raidmax PSU, spare but same problem.

Since the first post, my DFI SLI-DR died too...sigh!!

Remove the cooler off the CPU and turn on the system only for a couple of seconds.

Thats how i trouble shooted my system. Don't worry 2 seconds is all u need to check if ur CPU runs or not. It will heat up instantly so ull know its running.

Possibly 2 reasons...

1. Motherboard sensor gone crazy
2. Another case of static electricity.

Easy as long as you RMA to the place you bought it, not DFI unless you have to.

I will have to RMA it through DFI it seems. This build has been a long process of 2 months.
