problem deleting a partition

I am trying to repartition a hard drive, but I cannot delete the logical drive. The problem is that the lable says " * Remote * " which I guess has to do with a network drive, but this drive has never been on a network. When I tell it to delete the drive, and it asks for the lable of it, nothing that I enter will remove the drive. Has anyone seen a situation like this before?
