Problem Copying CD to CD in nero

Everytime I try to copy a cd to anotehr cd in nero, it tells me it cannot read the cd. This has never happened before. I also noticed at in my Device Manager>CD\DVD drives that both cd drives are called SCSI when they not. What's going on?

I'm pretty sure you have your DVD/CD players hooked up to the ATA100 controller. perhaps this is where you are having yhe problems. Personally I run my HD's off the ATA100 controller on my KT7A, and my CD&DVD drives off the ATA66. It works fine for me. I think giving each drive it's own channel works best in these sorts of situations.

Thanks for the link. I finally fixed the problem by uninstalling the BusMaster! Thanks for all the help guys\gals. I will install 4.29 anyway WITHOUT the busmaster 🙂

Ugh. I Was wrong. It seemed fixed. Now it just reads the cd for a while and then I get a "error reading data" msg when it starts burning.

LOL. Upon further tests I found that it was just that cheap CDR disc that is having trouble being read. Quality discs seems to work find though.
