Brand new to these forums, did a little search in the forum but didn't find anything so here is the problem. I am having a problem connecting to the internet through my laptop. I have a home PC that's connected to the router and the PC can easily connect to the internet but the Dell laptop can not, wirelessly nor wired. When trying to connect wirelessly, the laptop picks up the signal but does not connect and it gives me the following error message: "there may be a problem with your domain name server (DNS) configuration." When connecting through a wired connection I get the following error message: "change the settings for the network adapter local area connection. A problem with your network router or broadband modem might be preveting an internet connection." This is all on windows vista with a Linksys router. The laptop can connect wirelessly to other signals around my neighborhood, however, so there is not a problem with the wireless card. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
