Problem connecting onboard audio to receiver via coaxial SPDIF

I'm trying output sound to my home theater receiver via the coaxial SPDIF on my Asus P6T Deluxe (version 1).

I've connected the cables and checked "playback devices" in Vista and it shows "SPDIF Interface", "ATI HDMI Output", and "Digital Output".

I've tried all three (they're all enabled as well) and I can't get sound to the receiver.

Here is what I'm seeing under properties for each:

ATI HDMI Output Properties
Jack Information: HDMI Digital Jack

SPDIF Interface
Jack Information: Rear Panel Optical Jack

Digital Output
Jack Information: HDMI Digital Jack

I'm finding it strange that under Jack Information, I don't see any co-axial jack?

Any ideas?
