Problem burning Verbatim DVD-RW with my Nec 3500A

I've tried to burn several times my Verbatim DVD-RW X2 using my Nec 3500A
but each time, I get the same problem...
While trying to access some directories on the DVD, I get a cyclic redundancy error.

the problem is not with the DVD-RW since I've tried it with my Pioneer DVR-110 and it worked.

I can't put my finger on what files don't work on the DVD after the burn, but it seems that files the are in a directory inside a directory DON'T work.
