Problem booting off new HD after "Ghosting" old boot drive

Hey guys,

Used Ghost 2003 to clone a 27 gig drive onto a 100 gig drive. Operation completed fine, but I can't boot off the 100 gig drive...it gives the error message:

"Error loading OS"

I can still boot off the 27...if I leave the 100 in when I do that, I can see that it has the data on it. Theoretically, it should boot fine. Is it because it used to NOT be the boot drive and now it doesn't want to be?

Can't think of anything offhand...

Thanks!

if you're using winxp -- you can repair the MBR and stuff like that... it usually helps.

post again if you dont know how.

Hi Ski, I tried to use the repair console to fix it. Used "fixbootcfg" and one other one...probably didn't do enough to fix it. Just reinstalled windows instead.

Thanks though.
