Hey Techies,
I was trying to do a clean install of win xp pro on my old dell system for my parents and for some reason when the computer starts it doesn't boot from the floppy. I went to microsoft's site to create setup disks so I can boot from the floppy, and when the computer starts, it seems like it's reading/checking the disk because the green reading light for the floppy comes on for a second, but then right after that, my computer goes right into booting windows 2k pro.
This is 500mhz celeron dell system and so I don't see any option when this thing is booting up to go into the bios, so I'm assuming they did that on purpose. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be or how I can get into the bios to make sure the computer is set to boot from floppy/cd?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
