Problem arranging files in a folder

I have a folder on my computer called Morpheus Downloads, where I download all my Kazaa/Direct Connect stuff. Anyway, the problem is that I can't arrange by date. In all of my other folders, in the Arrange By menu, the options are Name, Type, Size, and Date. But I guess in folders with media files, Windows XP has different options in that menu which reads ID3 tags for MP3s and other files. I want to arrange the files by date, but that's not an option in the Arrange By folder for folders with media files. Can someone help me make it arrange by date in that folder? Thanks.

Unless you have the latest version of Kazaa it installs a robot (BOT) onto your hard drive and it records all your computer activity.

Hmm... I'm not sure, because I think I messed with my My Music settings a long time ago and kinda forgot about it, so my setup doesn't work quite like yours. But try this: Select the top level folder where the MP3's are located in Explorer. Don't double click, just leave it selected, and pick Choose Details... from the View menu. That lets you pick which details are recorded for files in the folder. Not sure if that works recursively through the child folders, but it seems worth a try.

That worked. Thanks! I never noticed the Choose Details option before.
