I had an older router fail aprox two months ago and I replaced it with a Wireless Linksys WRT54G router version 2.2. About three weeks later the router started to act up ( IE web pages took much longer to load than normal) Down load speeds were for the most part normal. I talked to Linksys and RMA,ed the router and the New one to me at least was a version 2 of the router. My problems went away and everything was back to normal. The problem seemed to be in the DNS portion of the router. Has any one run across this in Linksys routers before?

i wasn't happy with the routing abilities of my version 2.2 wrt54g. i had to restart it a fair amount of times due to bittorrent. i went back to my linux firewall/router and the problems went away.

There are a number of threads regarding lockup problems with v2.2 WRT54G routers over at linksysinfo.org and sveasoft.com forums. Apparently, heavy network traffic causes these things to lockup. Linksys has acknowledged the problem and is supposedly "working on a fix".

I actually have the same problem with mine, a version 2.2 Mine doesn't lockup though, it restarts by itself and is only when I'm running bittorent. I am running sveasoft pre7
