I posted this in networking but nobody responded. So I installed Zone Alarm yesterday and then right after i kept getting disconnected from x fire and games like BF 2142 where you sign on into a master server. Right after I sign into one of the servers I get disconnected like 5-10 seconds afterwards. So i uninstalled Zone Alarm like they say to on their website but the problems still persist. Now my internet is slower an now I have to refresh a web page 3 or 4 times to get it to load, and my wireless router wont work so i need this fixed asap. Im extremely desperate to go back to the way my computer was before i installed that stupid program. I have tried to reinstalling Zone Alarm and then uninstalling to see if that would work but nothing, ive repaired installed windows but that didn't work.Ive tried restoring my system but i never made any restore cds, so i tried to restore through windows but it only gave the option to restore to early t his morning so that wouldn't help Ive tried calling up their customer support phone line but it says that the number doesn't exist, and I don't have a credit card so I cant use their other line. I'm thinking about calling a computer tech. like geeks quad but they're expensive, I'm to the point where i just might to a fresh install of windows but then ill lose all my stuff. SO please any help into having my computer the way it was before I installed Zone Alarm will be greatly appreciated. Please im really deperate.

Btw, sorry for the length of the post

Delete Zone Alarm folder w/ all the files (or just rename it for the time being) from the Program Files folder.

Scan the registry with Registry Mechanic or such.

Delete all the entries associated with Zone Alarm.

Good Luck!

i had the same problem with zonealarm. i swear zonealarm has hiddden folders even after you delete and scan registry. zone will continue to give you problems. atleast that is my experience with it. especially with gaming. my valve games were all messed up because of zone. my only fix to that was to reformat. that was my only way to completey wipe out zone and return my pc to normal. if all else fails, just reformat.

Suggest that you carefully, slowly, step your way through the detailed ZoneAlarm removal instructions given

HERE.

oakland25, would you please return here and post whether or not this worked for you?

Then others can be helped from your thread here if it works, or can disregard those instructions given there if you find they don't work.

Either way you might help somebody else who reads your thread here later. Anyone in future who searches these forums for ZoneAlarm will find this thread.
