I was helping a friend clean out his PC, in Add/Remove Programs there was a program called ArcadeWeb, which he asked me to uninstall. I uninstalled it through Add/Remove Programs and since then, whenever he reboots the PC he gets the following message after the PC starts up...

"There was a problem starting C:\Program Files(X86)ArcadeWeb\ArcadeWeb32.DLL. The Specified Module Could Not Be Found"

How can he get rid of that message? I'd appreciate the help with this problem...Thanks in advance

The quick fix is just to use msconfig and disable the startup entry for it.
I disabled some things in the startup menu in msconfig and I do not remember seeing that program listed.

I'll have to tell him to check and see if it's there. Thanks for the feedback

It's more than likely that an exe file with a totally different name calls for this dll and this makes it hard to id in msconfig. If you can't id it the best think to do is reinstall the program and then try to unistall it some other way. I use Revo uninstaller for this kind of things but in your case I recommend that you download the ArcadeWeb Uninstaller.

Other than msconfig, there are a couple places in the registry that are used for starting up programs. If you do a search there, that entry should be there (or something like it pointing to that uninstalled program). From there, you just delete the entries. Though you should have no issues because you removed it, it is not a bad idea to backup the registry before you make any changes.
