problem after installinga fresh copy of Windows.

I just recently did a fresh install of Windows home edition. when I turned the computer on the Windows screen only fits half the computer screen. What I mean is that the screen is in a Windowed mode. The computer is a Toshiba te2000 laptop, Windows home edition. I would appreciate some help.

Did you download and install all the drivers for the devices (including the video chip) on your laptop? Laptops have a LOT of proprietary chips that Windows XP doesn't know about.

Go to your PC's manufacturer site and get the chipset, video, sound, network, PCMCIA, and any other drivers offered for it and install them. Start with the chipset drivers.
