Generic 128 PC100 SDRAM

I just bought a Kingston PC133 128MB SDRAM. When I installed it, PC does not boot up ??? Tried it as a PC100 everything works fine. Then I tried adding the old PC100 DIMM but BIOS only recognizes 128MB RAM instead of 256MB. Need help. Kingston said that the DIMM is PC100 compatible. Tried changing memory banks - no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it 8 chips instead of 16. Had the same problem with the 133w/Infineon. Works at cas2 in some, not recognized in others.
