Hi everyone,
I have a problem with accessing my drives. Here's the scenario. I had Win 2K for the longest time. I have a c, d, e and f drives that I use. I used the Administrator log on to pretty much use my computer during the time and I put Administrator as the owner of all the file objects on all the drives as well as I believe access to the computer. I formatted my C: drive (Win 2K installation drive) and installed Win XP Pro on the C:. I was able to load up Win XP and I have access to the C: and D: drives. For some reason, in windows explorer, when I click on the E: and F: drives it says access denied. I also noticed that it's showing my format is RAW. I double-checked Computer Management and it showed that both E: and F: drives were NTFS and healthy...but definitely cannot access them. Is there a solution to solve this problem to access both drives? I have stored valuable data files that makes it impossible for me to format them.
Is there a way to bypass that access denied problem using XP Pro or do I have to reinstall Win 2K and reset the permissions? Please let me know as soon as you can if you can help!
I appreciate all responses to this matter.
Thank you for your time everyone,
D
