Problem 8800gtx and monitors

Ok, I have a 20in as my main monitor plugged into the first dvi connection and a 24in as my secondary monitor on the other. I got a new sound card today so I had my case out and everything unplugged, when I plugged it all back in only the 24in came back on and it was now setup as my main monitor. When I turn my 20in on it says no signal kind of shuts off then comes back on like it looking for a signal, it will do this untill I turn it off. The 24in won't work in the first connection either. Any ideas?

First try plugging the 20 inch moniter into the secondary DVI to make sure its not the problem.

If its working ok, try removing & re-seating the video card, also check carefully to make sure you didn't somhow create a short inside the case by leaving a tool or a loose screw inside.

The 20in won't work in the second slot either. I guess I should of mentioned I had this problem with my dual 9600s, one monitor would work in one slot and not the other then they would both quit working or one would work and other wouldn't. Just kept switching them back and fourth and evnetually they started working again.

Now the 24in is working on first plugin which I guess is good because now I know it's not the video card but the 20in still not working. This thing is going to drive me nuts


Update

Lets see if I can explain whats going on now. I thought maybe it was the dvi cable so I switched them, by doing this neither monitor would come on plugged into either slot. So I switched them back to noraml, the 24in will work in the first and second slot but the 20in won't pick up a signal at all.
