When i run Premiere 6.0 i get the message "40C: premiere.exe-unable to locate dll.
Dynamic link library ML PagAx.dll could not be found in the specified path
C:\Program Files\Adobe Premiere 6.0, C:\winnt\system32, c:\winnt, c:\winnt\system32\wbem"
My operating system is Windows 2000 with SP3. I have tried to install Premiere again
with no result. Any help?

Ok do this on your own risk and don't come and complain to me later that you have been haxored or sumthing. or that your system is messed up. its all on your own risk. im just trying to help here 🙂

1. uninstall Premier
2. defrag the entire harddrive
3. run chkdsk from safemode
4. Reset the entire hard drive to the following:
SYSTEM - Full Control
ADMINISTRATORS - Full Control
Everyone - Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, and Read.

To do this, click Advanced and select Reset permissions on all child objects and enable propagation of inheritable permissions.

NOTE: You will receive an error message when you attempt to apply permissions to the Pagefile.sys file. Click Continue for this and any similar error messages.

5. Reebot
6. Install directX 9.0 (if you haven't already)
7. Reeboot
8. Install Adobe Premier
9. enjoy
10. vote for me in my profile 🙂

When i did the installation of Windows 2000, i set it to always log in as an administrator. I can't find the options you mention in step 4.

Right click on your c: drive and select prperties->security->click Advanced and select Reset permissions on all child objects and enable propagation of inheritable permissions. 😉

Now i have another problem! I can't see the avi files made by premiere. I get the message that "file uses an unsupported version format". I have installed 6.02 update with no result. These files can be opened woth QickTime or Pinnacle Studio

ahhh so your first problem is solved then 😉 did you rate my in my profil?

to your second problem, whats the compression format used on those avi's?

Sorry i don't know hoew to rate (if you tell me i will do!)
Ican't find the option which tells the format of the avi
