HI, i have bought the 1700+ OEM chips @ newegg.com and the Abit Kt333, with 256mb Crucial Technology DDR266 PC2100 Memory . and the Volcano 9 , i install everything, i start to have little probelm when i overclock to 1900+ (133) the the CPU tem start with 40 to 48C in 2hr..., also restart itself. when i O/C to 2000+ (133) it load the bios than, the screen seem to black out, stay there forever.... when i O/C to 2100+ (133) the computer didn't load the Bios Screen At all.

Thank You.

when you overclock, you will notice that the temperature rises
if you can't pass 2000+ that means you have reached the limit of your chip
try upping the fsb
btw, welcome to AT Forums🙂

does everything work okay at 1700+ speeds?
if it does, then your overclocking is causing problems obviously
could be insufficient CPU cooler, not enough CPU voltage, need a more powerful power supply. etc.

Is that a Palomino or Tbred? Definitely look at your cooling before increasing speeds and CPU vcore. I have my Tbred 1700+ at 1.65vcore and that allows me to go to 1900 (raw speed)
