Probably very dumb question. . . (win xp home user account question)

I have some software that I use for work that is very annoying. It creates a 'service' that runs all the time and loads tons of stuff into the computer's startup - apparently - it needs all of this to function. I can use this software at home - and I am glad that I can. What annoys me is I hate all this stuff running all the time. I can kill it, stop the services, etc. . . . but what a pain.

If I created another user account, uninstalled from my main user account, reinstalled in the other user - would that prevent the services and the startup programs from running?

So I'd have two accounts - work - and home. If it is still going to start up the services, etc - then nevermind. Thought I'd ask before I wasted any time on this.

Thanks!
