Probably an easy USB headers question

I've got an ASUS A8N5X motherboard. It's got 3 different USB headers, and I'm just wondering what the differences between them are. I'm gathering from the manuals that it's differences in the negative and positive signals. Any reccomendations on which to use? Do certain devices do better with certain ones, like if they use more power or something? Is it completely apparent I don't know what I'm talking about?

Yes.

The "positive and negative" signals you're talking about are actually pins carrying power or data. Each USB header should have the same number of pins, and there shouldn't really be any difference between them. The only gaping hole in that statement is that some headers may be USB 1.1 while other headers are USB 2.0.
