Whats the difference between Counter-Strike Anthology and CS Source?

I think anthology had all the old versions of the game based on the Half-Life 1 engine. Including Condition Zero and Deleted Scenes (single-player campaign).

CS: Source is exactly that. Just the Source engine version of CS multiplayer.

If they ever come out with a Source version of Condidtion Zero it will make verything else moot, because CS:CZ also includes the regular CS game.

I noticed source includes HL2: deathmatch, is that just the expansion or w/e it is, or does it include the original HL2

I dont know why they would do that. You'd need all the data from HL2. You may as well just buy the Half-Life 2 collectors box that has the full version of all 3 games if youre gonna do that.

You don't need collector's edition to get them. The standard HL2 box comes with HL2DM(boring as hell) and CS:S. It's not worth it though. Steam ruins the deal.

thats what I'm planning on buying

the little box on the front clearly says "include HL2Deathmath and DOD:source"
my question is weather or not HL2DM includes the entire original HL2 or just the expansion (im assuming DM is some kind of expansion)

No it doesnt include HL2. DM = deathmatch = the half life 2 multiplayer aspect of the game. What you're getting is the DOD:S, HL2DM, and CS:S. They are all multiplayer games and that's it.
