Probably a stupid question - how to use majordomo listserv?

I subscribed to a list by sending mail to majordomo@url.edu.

The message body contained this text: subscribe listname

I got a reply saying: subscribe listname succeeded

What address do I send mail to for the list? is it: listname@url.edu?
