Probably a stupid cell phone question?

I just ordered my first cell phone and service from Buy.com and am wondering about something. I'm getting a Nokia 3360 and they sent pretty explicit instructions for me to be able to activate it from home when it arrives. Provided everything activates OK, can another phone be activated on the same number? In other words, I have another Nokia phone and would like to have both activated on the same number. I realize that I'd need to be careful about using both at the same time, but figure I could handle that part. Is there anything that's programed into the Sim card that would prevent this, or would my same settings likely work with another phone? Any advice, especially from someone who's tried this, would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Rick

no because the phone serial number is burned into the phone and they linked it to the phone number provided to you. It can only be activated with THAT phone and THAT number.

I tried something similar to that once with ATT. What I did was I had an existing phone registered, and I registered a new phone with them. The new phone worked perfectly. The old phone would ring if I called the number, and I could have a conversation with someone if I picked it up. However I could not make outgoing calls. Kind of strange .... but that's how the system worked.

Thanks Guys! Sounds like you saved me some trouble and pretty much a waste of time. Oh well, it was an idea.:)
