Probably a stupid Cable Broadband question, but I'm going to ask it anyway...

I have cable broadband, but not cable television. I want to switch from Satelite back to Cable TV. Does the cable company have to run a second (dedicated cable TV) cable from the 'cable box' in my neighbors backyard to my house, or to they just put a splitter on the single broadband cable that is already run to my house: splitting the signal to the Cable Modem and to my TV?

I'm trying to anticipate the wiring changed I will need to make to my Wiring Closet.

Shouldn't be any splitter required unless your cable modem is right next to your TV. No added lines required. Same coax run can give you data, TV, and/or voice if the provider has that capability.

Usually they just run a second line off of a splitter connected to the main cable line.
