Probability of Obama Assassination

I dunno if this is something that people talk about in other places, but a good percentage of people I talk to down here in Tennessee seem to think that its a done deal Obama is going to be assassinated after winning the election. Just wondered what ya'll thoughts were on that possibility. It really only takes 1 crazy racist with a gun to end his presidency, and TBH there are quite a few of them out there, so how many of you think he will be killed, or at least attempts made on his life after he wins the election? I'm guessing 10% chance of death, probably 50% chance of being shot at.
 
A modern day assassination would set our country back 50 years in one heartbeat.

Pray it doesn't happen, or things will get really ugly really fast.
 
There's been attempted assassinations on quite a few presidents. If someone kills him, its not necessarily cuz he's black.

The race baiters, of course, will do their thing anyway.

Bush should've been killed by a grenade but it was a dud, so no it wouldn't surprise me at all to see an attempt made on Obama. That said, the Secret Service is usually pretty good at what they do so let's hope they continue to be.
 
If bush has survived with out getting it, then obama should feel alittle at ease. Still I wouldn't want to be around him.

The Secret Service is damn good. Haven't there been assassination attempts on every president since time began? Just because no one gets a shot off doesn't mean the secret service didn't stop an assassination attempt.

I dunno, everyone says that, but I've been to speeches and stuff for presidential candidates and nobody ever searched me for a gun, sure if you shoot the dude there is no escape, but that might be worth it for some nut job. IMO if a decently intelligent person really wants the president dead there is nothing anyone can due to stop it. They are out in the open so much and 1 sniper shot or car bomb or rpg or anything is all it takes.

I'm worried about this. I've seen a lot of absolute wide-eyed hate directed towards Obama. And like has been said, all it takes is one lucky shot from some nut. I would hope that a President Obama would tape some sort "in the event of my death" message to be aired, because if he does get assassinated the sh1t is going to hit the fan hard.

Thinking about this is making me sad, plus I'm watching Obama giving a speech right now in NC and he's either wiping off rain or tears after talking about his Grandma. 🙁
 
I would hope Obama cuts way down on the Presidential trips around the country to 'press the flesh'. It's unnecessary and takes away from the Presidents time.
It would be good if we stopped asking our Presidents to both run the country and act as the head of state in formal events.
Sort of like Britain where the Prime Minister runs the country and the monarch represents Britain.
 
All the fear and talk of an Obama assassination is the suppressed hope it will happen. Kids worry all the time their Mother will die because they want to kill her. They when something happens to her the kids are fvcked for life suffering from the guilt.

That's something that's always bugged me. Taking vacation? $1000 a plate fundraisers?

You're the President. You work every day, all day for those 4 years. If Jose or Jesus out busting their balls mowing lawns can do it, so can the President, the job is that important.
