I just got a new comp!
a thunderbird 1.4 with a geforce 3
the mb is an epox ep-8k7A
I got a lil problem right now... i have install WinXP and when i am running a 3d application(like a game or 3dmark2001) it's freeze... and reboot my computer.
I have updated all my drivers, bios and everything i could think of. It has not really help. But i found out that by undercloacking my cpu at around 1.3, everything was working well and fine.
It's not really a big deal for 100 megaherzt more. But since it's a new comp and that i paid for an 1.4 i would like to make it work .
If anyone has an idea... i would appreciate , I am pretty desesperate right now :(
If you need any more details, it will be a pleasure to give them.

What is your CPU temperature when Idle and when under heavy load?
High-end 3D games stress out your CPU, video and memory, creating higher temperatures that could cause instability if you don't have good enough cooling.

Yes i have look at heat issues. It was one of the first thing i look at. The systeme was pretty cold like 38 celsius. And the cpu around 43-48. I don't think it's bad. I got many fans in the computer and i don't think overheat would be a problem. The only thing is that maybe my geforce 3 is overheating(it's a 3d prophet III). But all the review seem to say that it's a good geforce 3 card. So i doubt it's that too!
