Prob with 6600GT

So, when i first upgraded my compy last week, from a 2500+ Barton with a GF3 Ti200, to a DFI Ultra-D, 6600GT (MSI, PCIx), and a AMD 64 3000+ and a GB o RAM PC3200, I ran 3D MArk 2003, and got a score of over 8000, at 1280x1024 4xAA and 4xAF.

I then decided to reformat, since I did not before the upgrade.

Now when I run 3D Mark, I only got a score of a little over 3000, with the processor OCed to 2.3Ghz, and the video card OCed to 570/1.13. So i figured that one of the OC's must be the prob, since I was running the RAM at a 3/4 ratio (275x8.5 for processor @ 1.7V). So I then changed everything back to stock speeds. same numbers for the benchi, but slightly lower. so then I though mabye i didnt run the test at 1280x1024, so i lowered it to 124x768 with 4xAF 4xAA and my score went up to a little over 4000, still FAR lower than both what I initially tested at, and where the back of the box says I should be at, and where everyone else on the web is at... not sure what the problem is... any insights?

lol...its your test res..Most peoplr bench cards at 1024x768 (default) with NO AA or AF.

try that 🙂

in 3dmark 05 not 03, i got a s h i t score of 2580 with my 6800 card. that was really strange, since i normally get around 9000 with 03 version.

03 is more easily manipulated with system settings. there's been benchy postings of 13000 on a 9800pro simply because 03 isn't as solidly predictable as 05. but the difference on your results is confusing. plain jane 6800?
