Hi all,
I recently bought an Radeon 9700 by club 3d (which is basically nothing less than a rebranded ati one) and I installed it in my PC. The card works fine but I have one (very annoying) problem: it will not boot the first time when it has been off for about 30 minutes. The power led will start blinking and it'll give one long and two shorter beeps (as far as I know it means it doesn't detect a vidcard).
If I hit reset at that point, it'll boot fine.
I tried resetting the BIOS, to no avail, and I also tried various AGP settings (FW enabled/disabled etc etc). I wanted to try AGP 2x just to see if that would fix the problem but the chipset doesn't support that.
System specs:
P4 2.4b
8pe667 ultra (1) gigabyte
2x 256mb pc2700 samsung (bank 1 and 3 populated)
Club 3d ati radeon 9700
340watt psu from chieftec
-and some more stuff which isn't important now.
Does anybody know a possible fix or what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.
p.s. I think the problem is that the card doesn't get enough juice when it first boots (and yes, I have connected that little power plug
